The DUNSRight™ process
The basic principle of DUNSRight™ is quality assurance using over 2000 automatic (and various manual) checks to ensure that the information meets our own high quality requirements.
We also apply five quality routines that work in order to gather and improve information. The process takes place as follows:
1. Global information gathering is the basis of our unbeatable coverage. We compile information uniformly in the same way in all countries.
2. We enter the information in our database using our patented Matching, which ensures that the right data elements reach the right unit so that we can display a more coordinated, precise profile of each business.
3. We give each unit a unique D-U-N-S® Number. This is a powerful, unique tool for identifying and tracking each business worldwide throughout its lifecycle.
4. We link businesses using Group Links to give our customers the opportunity to perform a total risk and prospect analysis of customers and suppliers in the same business family or group.
5. Finally, we assign each business Risk Indicators. These are calculated by using statistical analysis to assess a business’s history and thus give an indication of how probable it is that the business will perform in a similar manner in the future.
6. The result of this comprehensive process is very powerful, high-quality business information that we present via our various products.
